Photos: Black Stars touch down in Abuja for Tuesday's clash with Nigeria

The Black Stars have arrived in Abuja for the second-leg meeting with Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff. 

Players and officials of the team arrived in Abuja on Monday afternoon.

Coach Otto Addo's team is expected to train later in the day at 5 pm to sharpen the rough edges ahead of the Nigeria showdown on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has wished the Black Stars the very best of luck ahead of Tuesday's encounter.

Addressing the nation in the 28th national update on how Ghana has dealt with the Coronavirus pandemic, Akufo-Addo concluded his speech by wishing the team well and stated that the Black Stars gave a good account of themselves in the first leg.

“I wish the Black Stars, who gave a good account of themselves in Kumasi, the best of luck in Abuja on Tuesday,” he said.

Ghana need a win or a score draw will be enough to give them a fourth appearance at the World Cup, having made it to the 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions.

The match is set for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, March 29.

Ghana are seeking to return to the Mundial for the fourth time having missed out in the last edition hosted in Russia.
