President Nana Akufo-Addo will be the Guest of Honour at tonight's 42nd Sports Writers Association(SWAG) Awards at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra.
The President, an avid sports fan, would dine with individuals in the sporting fraternity and deliver a message on the development of sports in Ghana.
About 40 sportsmen and women would be decorated on the night for their efforts within the year.
There would be special awards to individuals and corporate entities that contributed to the development of sports in the country.
Many are looking forward to the most prestigious award of the night, the Sports Personality of the Year, Â to be presented by the President.
President of SWAG, Kwabena Yeboab has announced that the outfit is set to organize a very grand event.
He said, "this is a day set aside for our sportsmen and women across the country and we would make it worth a while."
