Ex-Ghana International Richard Kingston has apologized to former Black Stars teammate Junior Agogo for neglecting him when he was diagnosed with stroke.

Agogo was one of Ghana's standout players in the AFCON 2008. In an interview with the BBC Agogo said he was no longer in touch with his former International teammates since he suffered the stroke two years ago.

In a quick response, Richard Kingston says he lost touch with his former mate and asked for forgiveness.

"Sometimes when you have friends from the beginning and they betray you like this it's very painful so I understand him,".

" I'll like to apologize on behalf of some of the players who couldn't reach out to Junior Agogo and his family that maybe we have neglected him at this point but all the same I believe that we are in spirit with him so we wish speedy recovery," Kingston added.

Agogo, 38, suffered stroke in January 2015, after ending his football career and now has Aphasia.Â
