England have qualified for the semifinals of the Russia 2018 World Cup after a 2-0 victory over Sweden.

The game started at a rather slow pace but it was England that found a bit of joy in the Swedish half.

They should have taken the lead in the 20th minute after Harry Kane's shot went just past the post.

England kept knocking on the door and finally had the breakthrough on the 30th-minute mark.

A corner from Ashley Young was headed home by Harry Maguire to give them the lead.

They maintained it till halftime as they knew they had a foot in the semis.

Sweden upped their game in the second period and were only denied by England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford from levelling things up.

England finally got the much needed second goal in the 59th minute.

A beautiful cross from Jesse Lingard was perfectly headed into the net by Dele Alli. England could have scored more but held on to win 2-0.
