Sir Alex Ferguson will manage his legendary Manchester United team of 1999 once again in a Treble reunion match at Old Trafford.

The game between a United Legends side and Bayern Munich Legends will take place on May 26, the exact 20-year anniversary of the Champions League final in the Nou Camp.

United beat Bayern 2-1 to complete an historic Treble, thanks to stoppage time goals by Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The anniversary match, which will feature a number of the Treble-winning squad, will raise money for the Manchester United Foundation.

United confirmed on Saturday that Ferguson, 77, will once again take his place in the dugout after making a good recovery from the brain haemorrhage he suffered in May last year.

Ferguson continues to regularly watch United matches both home and away and has been reintroduced to the fold at the club's Carrington training ground since Solskjaer replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho in December.

'I’m really looking forward to what will be a special day at Old Trafford,' said Ferguson. 'It will be great to catch up with some familiar faces and a great opportunity to support the work of Manchester United Foundation.'

Tickets for the reunion match, priced at between £19.99 and £50 for adults and £10 for juniors go on sale on February 21.
