Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow has confirmed the signing of Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku.

The 31-year-old center-back joins the Krasno-Belye (The Red-Whites) on a permanent deal following his departure from Turkish side Fenerbahce.

The transfer, reportedly valued at €2.5 million plus potential add-ons, will see Djiku commit his future to the Moscow-based club for the next two seasons.

Spartak Moscow made the deal official on their social media channels, welcoming the defender to their ranks for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.

Djiku was in the Black Stars starting lineup that beat Mali on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium, scoring the only goal of the game.

Before the move to Russia, Djiku had been linked with French Ligue 1 sides, including Lille, Nice, and Toulouse.

Djiku joined Fenerbahce in 2023 after ending his stay at Strasbourg. He scored four goals in 75 appearances for the Turkish side.
