Asante Kotoko SC shot-stopper, Felix Annan says he is proud and humbled by his nomination for the male footballer of the year at the upcoming SWAG awards.

The Porcupine Warrior custodian has been in an excellent form for the Reds in the truncated Ghana Premier League as well as their 2018/2019 Total CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Annan will challenge four others, namely John Antwi, a loanee from Egyptian club Al Ahly; Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey, Kassim Nuhu of German club, Hoffenheim, and Joseph Aidoo of Genk in the Belgian First Division for the Male Footballer of the Year award.

"I feel proud & humbled to be nominated for the SWAG_Ghana Footballer Of The Year! This means a lot to me and a big motivation to keep working hard! Thanks to my family, friends, fans and most Asante Kotoko_SC for making me a better athlete! I Say God Bless You All", he shared via his Twitter handle.

The 44th Sports Writers Association of Ghana awards night will be held on May 11, 2019.
