SWAG congratulates newly elected GFA President Kurt Okraku

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana, (SWAG) has congratulated the newly elected Ghana FA President, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku.

The Dreams FC Capo has been sworn in as the new President of Ghana football after winning the GFA Presidency seat to succeed Kwesi Ntantatyi.

He secured 93 votes to emerge as the winner of the elections in the third round after George Afryie has conceded at the beginning of the 2nd runoff.

He will serve an initial four-year term with an additional four-year term if re-elected into office.

SWAG in their congratulatory letter urged the new FA President to fufill his campaign promises and to do his best to transform the fortunes of Ghana football.

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) is delighted that today you have been elected as the 2nd president of the Ghana Football Association by the Football family through an unprecedented historic and democratic process.

You must be highly content with this as you have undoubtedly worked very hard to achieve this position. Your commitment and dedication has helped you attain the presidency of the Ghana Football Association.
