A deal has been signed for the long-awaited heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
According to The Ring's Mike Coppinger, the fight will take place in late 2026, and it will be broadcast on Netflix, who streamed Fury's win over Arslanbek Makhmudov earlier this month.
"Breaking news! Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua is a done deal, I’m told, for the fourth quarter of this year, @ringmagazine show on Netflix!" Coppinger wrote in a post on X .
"Biggest fight in UK history. And like so many other major fights, it’s happening because of @Turki_alalshikh. Canelo-Crawford, Beterbiev-Bivol, Usyk-Fury and too many others to name."
Fury and Joshua recently came to verbal blows, following the former's victory against Makhmudov, but while Fury bellowed at his domestic foe, 'AJ' kept composed at ringside and refused to be drawn into the 'Gypsy King's' antics.
Joshua to have warm-up fight before facing Fury
Before Joshua steps into the ring with Fury, he will first have a warm-up fight, and that takes place on July 25, live on DAZN , against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh .
Joshua has not fought since December after beating Jake Paul, and soon after, he took a prolonged absence from the sport after being involved in a tragic car accident which killed two of his closest friends.
Since then, the Olympic gold medalist has linked up with Oleksandr Usyk and his training team to prepare for a return to the ring.
For some, Fury-Joshua may be coming a little too late, but for both men, this was the one of, if not the only logical fight to make next before calling time on their respective careers.
