Video: Andre Ayew unveiled by Al Sadd

Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew has been announced as Qatari side Al Sadd's latest signing.

The left-footed forward who joined the Asian side on a three-year deal and has been unveiled by his new club.

He will be wearing jersey no.24 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium outfit.

Ayew left Swansea City after the end of the 2020/21 English Championship season following the club's failure to secure top-flight promotion.

He arrived in Doha on Thursday morning and went under mandatory medical checks.

Andre's move to Al Sadd means the forward will play out of Europe for the first time in 14 years.

Al Sadd have been champions of Qatar 15 times and won the league and cup double last season.

They also won the AFC Champions League back in 2011, which remains their sole triumph in the competition.

They are currently managed by Barcelona legend Xavi.

Reports suggest he could be earning over two hundred thousand dollars ($200, 000) a week in Qatar.

Ayew has capped 91 times for the senior national team of Ghana with 19 goals to his credit.
