Ghanaian Afro pop singer, Wiyaala Noella, says she doesn't understand why some Ghanaian journalists don't ask deeper and sensible questions but rather concentrate on useless and irrelevant questions.

The international music sensation made these revelations during an interview stated that some musicians and celebrities turn down interviews from some media personalities because of the nature of their questions.

Ghanaian celebrities turning down interviews has become the order of the day as most stars choose to grant interviews to some media houses and turning down others.

It can be recalled that Rufftown records signee, Wendy Shay worked out of an interview which started as a normal interview and ended under frosty circumstances when JoyNews’ MzGee posed the question “Who is Wendy Shay?”

And Wendy Shay said: “Can we cut the interview? This is a dumb question. I don’t wanna do the interview anymore,” Wendy said.

However, Noella Wiyaala also encountered similar interview with a presenter at the just ended AFRIMA and this is what she had to say:

"I recently had an interview with a media house and the only question they could ask me was about my sex life, why I was sitting on Patapaa’s laps".

"They further asked me to criticize AFRIMA of which I thought was irrelevant because they could have asked deeper questions to really bring out something unique in me".

Wiyaala Noella and her manager, Mr. John Sherren were the principal speakers at a Masterclass organized by the Executive body of Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Accra Tourist Information Center.
