The Ghana National Fire Service has cautioned the media to desist from jumping to conclusion on the cause of the Atomic junction gas explosion.
Head of public relations, David Anaglatey says investigations are still on-going into the cause of the disaster and none as at now has been confirmed.
There have been media speculations that the fire of a kebab seller ignited the gas which had escaped during discharge, resulting in the inferno. This was championed by radio show host Kojo Yankson who in a video sought to give chronological detail of the circumstances surrounding the disaster.

The account was however questioned by many who wondered how the said kebab joint remained intact with no evidence it's been gutted by fire.

Mr Anaglatey in an interview cautioned the media to be careful about drawing unsubstantiated conclusions. He demanded the public "leave the technical people" to handle the cause of the fire, saying it takes more than just speculation to establish that.
"I saw on social media they were saying that its even a kebab seller who caused it, as much as the fire from the kebab seller within the vicinity could cause it, there are other indicators that you need to look at, the distance of the kebab seller, the velocity of the wind, direction of the wind, concentration of the gas" he stressed.
Mr Anaglatey continued that the presence of the meat seller alone is not enough to say he caused the explosion and promised the findings of the fire service would be available by close of the week.
