The Children Support Fund established to ensure the welfare of children of victims of the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash has received donations totaling GH¢10,150,495 and US$20,000.
Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, Dr Valerie Sawyerr, announced this in a statement issued on Saturday.
The donations were received between October 17, 2025 and February 7, 2026, from various individuals, institutions, and corporate organizations.
According to the statement, major contributors include Ghana Reinsurance, Vitol Ghana Services Limited, Kosmos Energy Ghana, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of the Interior, and Presidential Staffers at the Office of the President.
Other donors listed include Allied Health Professionals, PSC Tema, Kenneth Nana Kwame Brown, Timothy Addai Adivilah Balag’Kutu, Andra Appenteng, Stay String, Seth Emanuel, Francis Dodoo, and Padi Keteku.
Dr Sawyerr stated that donations may be made to the Fund through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited accounts at the Stanbic Heights Branch in Accra.
The Ghana Cedi account number is 9040013628372, while the US Dollar account number is 9040013628534.
She disclosed that cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to Children Support Fund 6825, adding that mobile money payments can also be made through designated payment platforms.
The Children Support Fund was established following the tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, which claimed multiple lives and left several children orphaned.
The fund aims to provide financial security and support for the welfare, education, and upbringing of the affected children.
Dr Sawyerr encouraged more individuals, institutions, and organizations to contribute to the fund to ensure the children receive adequate care and support for their future.
