Horror as police shoot two dead after 'mistaking them for armed robbers'

Mampong in the Ashanti Region has been thrown in state of mourning after the police shot a teacher and his brother dead after mistaking them for armed robbers.

The teacher was based at the Mampong Midwifery Training School.

 

PrimeNews.com.gh understands that the police were responding to a distress call when the saw the teacher and his brother riding a motorbike. Thinking that they were armed robbers who were fleeing a robbery scene, the police shot and killed both of them.

 

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the mortuary.
