President John Dramani Mahama has extended New Year greetings to Ghanaians, expressing hope for prosperity, peace and progress in 2026.

In a New Year message released to mark the beginning of the year, the President encouraged citizens to embrace hope, unity and a shared commitment to national development as the country charts its course for the months ahead.

“May the new year, 2026, bring us all prosperity, peace, and progress,” the message said.

The President wished all citizens a happy and peaceful New Year, reaffirming his commitment to inclusive governance and national unity as Ghana enters 2026.

In a festive message on December 23, Mahama expressed deep gratitude to citizens for the trust placed in his government, describing the season as one of hope, reflection, and renewed national commitment.

He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to the #ResettingGhana Agenda, aimed at steering the country towards inclusive growth, job creation, accountability, and shared prosperity. The President highlighted efforts to revive the economy, complete stalled development projects, expand infrastructure, and build a nation that works for every Ghanaian.

“As we work together to revive our economy and strengthen our foundations, let us draw inspiration from the hope that Christmas brings,” the message read.
