The Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development, Dan Botwe, says just because the six new regions have been created is not an indication that his job has come to an end.Â
In 2017, the Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development, Mr Dan Botwe was appointed by President Akufo-Addo to forefront the creation of the regions.
Mr Dan Botwe in an interview, responding to suggestions that his work would end once the regions are created said the administrative process of getting the regions to run efficiently will still need his input until the President decides otherwise.

He said:''There was still some more reorganisation and development that needed sorting out.''
“For now, the name of the capital has been announced but where should the regional minister go and stay? Where should be the office of the Regional Minister be where anybody can go and do business,†he added.
Ultimately, Mr Botwe said the fate of his portfolio is in the hands of President Akufo-Addo.Â
“We work to the pleasure of Mr President… once Mr President hasn’t said he has collapsed it, we are still working,†he stated.
President Akufo-Addo will continue presenting Constitutional Instruments for new regions with the Bono East and Ahafo Regions next in line.
The presentation of the Constitutional Instrument for the Savannah and North East Region was done Tuesday, February 12, 2019, with their capitals named.
 Nalerigu was named as the capital of the North East Region whilst Damango has been named as the capital of the Savannah Region.
