Traffic flow within Darkuman and its environment will be disrupted for a month, starting from Monday, October 11, 2021, to Friday, October 12, 2021.

The Department of Urban Roads which is an agency under the Ministry of Roads and Highways has explained that the disruption is to enable GRIDCo to undertake maintenance works at Osakuman street, located within the Darkuman area.

The Department of Urban Roads announced this in a press statement issued on October 7, 2021.

“The Ministry of Roads and Highways, acting through the Department of Urban Roads and on behalf of GRIDCo, wishes to inform the public and road users that there will be some interruption to the flow of traffic within Darkuman and its environs for a period of one month, effective Monday 11th October to Friday 12th November 2021, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm each day,” the statement read.

The statement also advised motorists to follow and obey the traffic diversion signs that will be placed at the various sections of the affected roads during the period of maintenance.

The affected roads include Osakuman street around Darkuman Circle station and Korle Gono street around the Demod area.
