Two women arrested with 1,650 slabs of suspected Indian hemp

The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects for possession of 1,650 slabs of compressed and ball-shaped substances suspected to be Indian hemp at Antokrom in the Eastern Region.

The suspects, identified as Hawa Ibrahim and Latifa Adams, were arrested on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, through an intelligence-led operation.

A search conducted at the residence of suspect Hawa Ibrahim led to the retrieval of twenty-four (24) maxi bags containing the suspected narcotic substances.

The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.

'They will be taken through the due process of the law to face justice, a police statement said.
