Some irate youth belonging to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region on Friday, August 31, 2018, attacked the District Chief Executive, Eugene Sackey, in an attempt to beat him for allegedly accusing them of destroying a grader belonging to the Assembly.
The about 20 muscled irate nearly lynched the DCE but with the intervention of the police.
The angry NPP youth also said the DCE has been hobnobbing with members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area.
The youth in unison, surged at the DCE at a public function at Adeiso where he had gone to inaugurate a new complex for the District Assembly, plunging the whole event into chaos in the process.
