A family at a small town called ‘Kofi Asare’ in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region is appealing to the general public for support in seeking medical treatment for their six-year-old daughter who is suffering from a strange illness.

Dorcas Dathibea reportedly fell in the bathroom one morning while preparing to set off for school.

Little Dorcas walks more than 5-miles to and from school every day from Kofi Asare to Bepowase in the Upper West Akyem District.

According to the parents, they took her to several hospitals, including the nation’s premier hospital, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, and the doctors are demanding an amount of GHS5, 000.00 to enable little Dorcas to undergo surgery.

The family is, therefore, appealing for support since they have spent the little amount they had on them but their daughter is still not healed.
