Admit it or not but most of the people are guilty of taking their cellphones to the loo.

Either to check the mail or scroll the social media handles, they remain glued to their device all the time.

Well, it may seem like a harmless act, but experts suggest that taking your phone in the washroom may lead to hemorrhoids or piles.
Why does this happen?

We all know that washrooms are full of germs and bacteria, which can cause different health problems. But in this case, the problem is the amount of time you spend in the loo while using your cellphones.

Using the device in the loo may make you sit there for a longer period of time. This way you will put more pressure on the veins of the anus in the lower rectum which can lead to hemorrhoids or piles.

It may cause symptoms such as pain, swelling or bleeding. It is not the smartphone, but the real problem is the time you spend there while scrolling your phone. People mostly lose track of the time and end up sitting there for long.

As per a recent YouGov survey, almost 57 percent of Britishers admitted to using their phone in the toilet and eight percent said they always do it.
