Controversial hip-life musician Kwame Asare Obeng popularly referred to as A-Plus insists that he has not been paid by any political party to campaign for them ahead of the December 7 elections.

Speaking at the sidelines of a program held in Accra, he said, “I have not been bribed by any political party to speak for them but I only say what I see on the grounds, whether good or bad regardless of which party is in power.”

He added that, “we are in this country and aware of whatever is going on. It is obvious things are not going on well under the current government.”

That he said, is not to say that he would not receive any money from someone for a job done whether campaigning or whatsoever.

“Everyone deserves to be paid for their work and if I do something for someone, I must be paid. Nobody has paid me yet though,” he stated.

However, he said the country needs a change in government in order to develop to an appreciable level, going forward.

“I am taking a front role in seeking for change as it is proper to change government after every eight year,” he said.

Specifically, he stressed that, “I am seeking for a change so that the National Patriotic Party and Nana Akufo Addo would come into power after the December elections.”

He also called on Ghanaians to vote for a change in government so that the country would become better under a new leadership.
