People's National Convention (PNC) flagbearer, Dr Edward Nasigre Mahama,  has predicted that the upcoming presidential elections will have no clear winner and will only be decided by a runoff.

Speaking on Metro TV's Good Evening Ghana, the gynecologist turned politician stated that the PNC was working very hard in the run-up to the election and positioning itself to be in the runoff in the 2016 election, as no individual candidate was going to garner more than 30% of votes cast.

“The PNC is not going to support other parties should the 2016 election go into a runoff as we have done in the past. History does not always repeat itself. My party and I have previously thrown our weight behind others however, 2016 is the time for others to also support the PNC win the elections", he added.

Dr Mahama who who will be contesting in his fifth presidential election, revealed that a journalist will be his running mate in the November 7 polls saying he will in the coming weeks make the announcement of the person he believes will complement him as Vice President to rule Ghana in 2017.

He added that his party is poised to lead the country into economic independence with his pragmatic policies that will be rolled out during his reign in 2017.
