Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dalex Finance, Ken Thompson said politicians have conspired to keep the truth away from the public.

Speaking on Viasat 1’s Ghana Report show, on Monday night he said, no political party have spoken about taken hard decisions to solve the numerous problems in the country.

“They say the country is broke and we are facing financial difficulties but yet, no hard decisions are taken to address the issues,” he stated.

This conspiracy he said has been happening since independence and unless right decisions are taken, the issue would remain despite the political party in power.

According to him, agriculture remains the solution to Ghana’s problems and efforts must be put in place to develop the sector.

He added that, corruption also remains in the country and everyone could feel and smell it but there is no clear evidence to make a case.

He believes that politics and business are the two institutions that have the greatest influence on society and does not work in isolation.

Personally, as a business person, he said, he should be able to influence policies, direct and support political parties to his benefit.

“We cannot sit back and not have access to decision making as we need to secure the future of the country,” he stated.

Though he would not publicly declare his support for any party, he holds onto the stance that business people must demand from politicians.

“I need to have influence over certain decision making from advice to financial decisions and business must support the political process to gain some influence,” he added.

He stressed that, a business person needs to have access to decision makers in society and be connected to whoever is in power.
