Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey says he is ready to play against England after missing Ghana's opening World Cup group match against Panama.

Partey was unable to travel to Canada for Ghana's 1-0 victory over Panama after his visa application was refused. However, he has now joined the team ahead of the Group L encounter with England in Boston.

Speaking before the match, the 33-year-old said he is fully fit and prepared to help Ghana secure another victory.

"For me, now I feel okay. I'm ready to play," Partey said.

The midfielder said the team is in a positive mood following the win over Panama and is looking forward to the challenge against England.

Partey also expressed excitement about facing familiar opponents, including England stars Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, whom he knows from his time in the Premier League.

"I'm really happy to see them again. I hope they are going to bring their best and give us the opportunity to compete and enjoy the game," he said.

He added that he is particularly looking forward to the midfield battle with Rice.

"I know it's not going to be easy. They have very good players and I am happy to play against them," Partey stated.

Ghana will take on England in a match that could determine the top team in Group L
