Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan who also doubles as a musician will join Afropop singer Wiyaala and gospel artiste Grace Ashy to compose the official cheer song for the 2018 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

Africa's leading top scorer at the World Cup Asamoah Gyan's versatility will allow him to join these singers to compose the song for the 11th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

“It’s a great honour to be selected alongside Grace Ashy and Asamoah Gyan. We’ve already got the composition and most of the lyrics,” Wiyaala disclosed.

“Grace and I are well-known writers of football songs and with Asamoah Gyan coming on board, that will add extra spice!”

Asamoah has been in the music circles for sometime, he has hit songs like "Odo Pa" and "Do the dance" with Castro, and recently featured on Stonebwoy's song "Dirty enemies".

The tournament will be hosted in Ghana from 17 November to 1 December 2018.

Asamoah Gyan was recently named as the 9th highest scoring active international footballer in the world.
