Chelsea maintains top spot after beating Tottenham 2-1

Chelsea put up another sterling performance at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to beat Tottenham 2-1 to remain on top of the English Premier League table.

Tottenham after dominating the game from the beginning of the game,took the lead through Eriksen with a stunning strike which got Thibaut Coutois beaten in the post.

The Blues then woke up from their slumber and gave Tottenham a chase for the equalizer which came in the dying minutes of the first half through another breathtaking goal from Pedro.

The former Barcelona star is among many players enjoying some amazing season under Antonio Conte, put the Blues level with a long distance strike which was curled into the top left corner of the post.

The second half saw Chelsea exchange some amazing touches at midfield and threatening the goal area of Tottenham.

They mounted pressure on the visitors and it was not long after they managed to get the winning goal from Victor Moses who was put on goal by unselfish Diego Costa.

Chelsea maintained their composure and created few chances with the greatest one falling on the foot of Marco Alonso who fired wide off the post.

It was the search for the three points that was paramount to Chelsea and Antonio Conte and his charges ensured they achieved just that.

Chelsea would play Manchester City in their next game and Pep Guardiola would be hoping to halt Chelsea’s winning run.
