The 2017/18 Ghana Premier League which was expected to commence this weekend has now been postponed indefinitely.

The Professional League Board on Monday, 26th February launched the league, paving way for the start 2017/2018 season.

The league was set to commence this weekend at all match centres across the country.

However, the Ghana Football Association has released a statement today February 28, saying that matchday one which was scheduled for 2nd and 3rd March has now been called off indefinitely.

The FA have not given any explanation for the postponement but reports are that it might be as a result of an injunction placed on it by Accra Great Olympics.
