AshantiGold's striker Shafiu Mumuni has issued a come and get me plea to Asante Kotoko ahead of the start of the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors are reportedly bent on securing the signature of the 23-year-old, who has been on fine form for the Miners.

Shafiu Mumuni has been an integral part of AshantiGold since he signed for the Aboakese club in 2016 club and the Reds are courting for his services as they mount a serious challenge in the Africa campaign.

In an interview with Kumasi based Ashh FM, he said: "Asante Kotoko wants me to join them because of my performance and the Coach also knows what I can do".

"Kotoko is one of the biggest Clubs in Ghana with a large fan base of which I would love to join"

Shafiu further revealed his admiration for Kotoko's Burkinabe import Songne Yacouba and said he will be forming a formidable partnership with him which will be of delight to the supporters should he join the Porcupine Warriors.

"Songne Yacouba is a very good player and pairing him in games for Kotoko would be very good for the team and the supporters will love that"

"I will work perfectly with other players at Kotoko to do the work perfectly in the Caf Confederation Cup" he ended.
Asante Kotoko have drawn in Group C with Zambia sides Zesco United and Nkana as well as Sudanese side Al Hilal in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Reds will open their group C game against Al Hilal in Sudan on February 3, 2019.
