Maxwell Konadu reveals targets for 3-year Legon Cities contract

The head coach of Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu has revealed the club’s target for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The Royals endured a miserable spell in the 2020/21 campaign and were sure bets for relegation until the last day.

They had to leave it late to survive being demoted to Division One League after victory over Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday 34.

It took goals from Hans Koffie, Mathew Anim Cudjoe, and Francis Addo Nuer to beat the Wonders side 3-2.

According to Maxwell, who was appointed early this month on a 3-year deal the club had to put in their all to stay in the Ghana Premier League.

He disclosed that the club has tasked him to finish in the top 8 in his first season and do even better in his second season

"Everybody at Legon Cities were involve in our relegation survival battle including even our driver and cooks he told Nhyira FM.

"I signed a 3-year contract and my target for next season is to be in the top and move to top 4 the following season."

Legon Cities finish the season with 42 points from 34 matches having won 11, draw 9 and losing 14 matches in the process.

 The former Black Stars assistant coach will be seeking to beef up his team to aid him meet his target in the 2021/22 season.
