Samuel Boadu wins second successive NASCO coach of the Month award

Samuel Boadu of Hearts of Oak has been adjudged as Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month for June.

Coach Boadu has won the award for the second consecutive month after masterminding Hearts of Oak’s three wins and one draw  recorded  last month.

He beat off competition from Asante Kotoko’s Mariano Baretto and Ebusua Dwarfs’ James Kuuku Dadzie who both won three matches with one defeat each in June.

The Head Coach of Hearts of Oak is expected to receive a NASCO Television set.

It would be recalled that Samuel Boadu was named coach of the month for May.

Hearts of Oak won five Premier League games and lost one, scoring 8 and conceding two, a run of form that saw the Phobians jump from fifth to first in the Premier League table.

Augustine Boakye has been named the Ghana Premier League (GPL) Player of the Month for June.

Meanwhile, West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) midfielder emerged as best player for the month ahead of Asante Kotoko midfielder Fabio Gama, Ebusua Dwarfs’ Emmanuel Anaful and Elmina Sharks midfielder Benjamin Boateng.

Boakye was impressive for the Academy boys after winning the MVP award twice in June.

The mercurial midfielder was also on target for the Academy boys in their game against Dreams and against Aduana Stars both at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

He featured in the club’s matches in the month of June in their quest to finish in the top four.

For his award he will receive a NASCO television set and a personalized trophy.
