Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah has clinched Ghana’s inaugural gold medal in the track and field event at the ongoing 13th African Games in the country.

Amoanimaa soared over the bar at 1.90m, securing the gold medal and igniting jubilation among the home fans.

In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Rose emerged as the sole athlete to clear the 1.90m mark, showcasing her prowess on the track.

Despite falling short of her personal best and failing to surpass 1.94m in all three attempts, she demonstrated exceptional athleticism and commitment to her performance.

Draped in the colours of the Ghanaian flag, Rose embarked on a celebratory victory lap, basking in the adulation of the cheering home crowd.

Rose won gold at the 2019 Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco and another gold at the 2022 Africa Senior Athletics Championships in Mauritius.
