After releasing from the Deportivo La Coruna, Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has joined Spanish Secunda B side Albacete on a one-year deal.

Ghana midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has officially joined Segunda División side Albacete Balompie on the transfer deadline day.

The 34-year-old signed a contract with the Estadio Carlos Belmonte outfit after passing a mandatory medical on Thursday afternoon.

The former Inter Milan star has been without a club after ending his stay with Deportivo La Coruna in July last year - where he made eight La Liga appearances.

This becomes his fifth team within four years after signing for the Spanish second tier side.

Muntari has represented Ghana at the three FIFA World Cups - 2006, 2010 and 2014 - scoring 20 goals in 84 game outings for the West African country.

Albacete is currently in the Segunda Division, but only two points from leaders Granada in the standings.
