Black Meteors winger Evans Mensah was named Man of the Match for his sterling performance against Cameroon on Friday night.

The HJK Helsinki wideman was the brightest player in the encounter as coach Ibrahim Tanko’s charges rallied to pick a draw.

In his post-match interview, Evans Mensah expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their support during their 1-1 stalemate with Cameroon.

Bayern Munich teenage sensation Frank Evina opened the scoring with a beautiful free-kick on the hour mark for Cameroon before Habib Mohammed equalized three minutes to time to salvage a draw for the Black Meteors.

Ghana will play host nation Egypt in the second game of the Group A on Monday, November 11 at 6:00 pm at the Cairo International Stadium.

Earlier on Friday, Egypt beat Mali by a lone goal in the opening game as they lead Group A, with 3points, followed by Ghana and Cameroon with A point respectively while Mali is languishing at the bottom.
