Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, will on Thursday, November 13, present the government’s 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament.
The announcement was made by Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, during the presentation of the Business Statement for the fourth week ending Friday, November 14, 2025.
He explained that the presentation will be in line with Article 179 of the Constitution, which mandates the Minister of Finance to lay before Parliament a statement of the government’s financial plans for the coming year.
The 2026 budget is expected to outline government priorities and spending plans for the year ending December 31, 2026, including measures to support economic stability and growth.
Mr. Ayariga also told the House that the Business Committee has taken note of several pending matters before various committees. He said 300 referrals have so far been made to 23 committees for consideration and report.
In addition, five ministers are expected to appear before Parliament next week to answer 28 questions filed by Members of Parliament.
