The latest Anas Aremeyaw Anas undercover piece on illegal mining popularly known as "Galamsey" exposes some government officials who were involved in some corrupt practices to aide certain individuals to engage in illegal mining.

In 2017, the government led by Akufo-Addo established the Inter-Ministerial Committee(IMCIM) on illegal mining to sanitize and curb illegal mining activities in mining communities across the country. Some men decided to prevent the fight against illegal mining by stabbing the President in the back by taking huge sums of money to pave way for illegal mining.

The video has officially captured secretly where people were receiving wads of cash to facilitate the speedy ‘clearance’ of a mining company in order that it can commence mining.

In the Galamsey fraud video was a soldier named Bimpong of the Ghana Armed forces who is part of the National Security operatives at the Inter-Ministerial Committee, Police officers namely Kennedy Frimpong, Baffour and Annor who work at the Jubilee house, Andy a connection man who linked Anas' team to Charles Bissue, Secretary of the IMCIM were all captured in the video engaging in certain corrupt acts.
