Gov't releases full list of Schools that will run the Double Intake system

Government has released the full list of school that will run the Double Intake system. The list details the number of students who will be completing school by September 2018, the number of students who will be taken in per track and a proposed number of students to be enrolled at a particular time.

Government announced plans to implement the Double Intake System for newly admitted Public Senior High School Students across the country in September 2018. The new system which is expected to reduce class sizes and increase lesson hours will address the growing population of students benefitting from the Free SHS Policy.

According to President Akufo-Addo, the 2018/2019 academic year will see a 31 percent increase in the number of students entering senior high school. Hence plans to implement the Double Intake System.

The new system is expected to cost GH₵323 million to fully implement.
