Josephine Asante who was the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) in charge of the Tema Port will be buried on March 16, 2019, after she was murdered on January 13, 2019.


Ms Asante was murdered at a residence at the Emef Estates . After a short memorial service held at the Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Church at Tema Community One on Saturday, January 26, 2019, it was disclosed that she will be buried on March 16, 2019.

In attendance were family members, management and staff of the GPHA and other well-wishers.

Her death according to sources at Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority (GPHA), occurred after the deceased had returned from a Senior Staff party.

Madam Asante is alleged to have been attacked in her bedroom soon after she returned from the party.

Occupants of the house according to sources, are said to have discovered the body in the morning after they saw the keys to the deceased’s bedroom on the compound.

Already, a Tema District Court has remanded into prison custody the houseboy of the deceased.

The accused person, Christian Agyei, 22, who is facing committal proceedings for the alleged murder of his boss will reappear in court on January 31, 2019.
