The Intelligent Lady Academy (TILA) has been honoured with the National Award for Innovation in Women’s Empowerment through Media, Mentorship, and Training at the 4th Ghana Philanthropy Awards, held in Accra.
This prestigious recognition, organized by The Business Executive, celebrates organizations whose initiatives continue to transform lives and inspire sustainable social change. For TILA, the award affirms years of dedicated work in shaping confident, purpose-driven young women through mentorship, leadership training, and transformative learning experiences.
Rooted in the belief that early leadership development is key to national progress, The Intelligent Lady Academy has successfully implemented several impactful programmes, each designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical leadership competencies while nurturing integrity, confidence, and a strong sense of community responsibility among young women and girls.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Academy and the founder, Wendy Amarteifio, Communications Lead for Academy, described the recognition as both humbling and a timely acknowledgment of the Academy’s work in shaping confident, purpose-driven young women.
“This honour captures the very essence of what The Intelligent Lady Academy represents; shaping young women to lead with confidence, character, and clarity.
Through mentorship, media, and leadership training, we’ve seen girls evolve into voicesof impact within their schools and communities. This recognition strengthens our commitment to nurturing purpose-driven leaders and extending the Academy’s influence across Africa.”
Founded by Mrs. Princess Sekyere-Bih, The Intelligent Lady Academy was born out of her passion for equipping young women with essential life skills, values, and leadership training.
“We dedicate this award to every school head who believed in our vision, every facilitator who shared their wisdom, and our exceptional team whose commitment makes our work possible. Above all, we thank God for His grace and guidance, the journey continues,” Ms. Amarteifio added.
The 4th edition of the Ghana Philanthropy Awards celebrated individuals and organizations whose selfless contributions continues to make a lasting impact on society. For The Intelligent Lady Academy, this award is not a destination but a renewed call to action to keep nurturing the next generation of women leaders poised to drive positive change in their schools, communities, and globally.
