Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) Candidate, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom met with the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Madam Charlotte Osei at the EC's offices in a brief meeting on Wednesday.

Confirming the meeting on Joy FM's Newsnight on Wednesday, Communications Director of the EC, Mr Eric Dzakpasu stated that the "meeting was a brief one" but said that he was not yet privy to the outcome of the discussion though he was sure it concerned Dr Nduom's disqualification as an aspirant in the December 7 presidential elections.

The EC on Monday disqualified Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom and eleven other aspirants from contesting in the upcoming elections citing various errors on their nomination forms which contravened CI 94, the constitutional instrument regulating the conduct of the elections.

Dr Nduom, at a press conference at the party's headquarters on Tuesday, asked fo5for a five-minute meeting with the EC boss to correct the anomalies which he described as only administrative and clerical errors.

But Wednesday's brief meeting which was in fulfilment of Dr Nduom's request, we gathered, did not yield any fruitful results as Madam Osei explained it was a collective decision of the Commission which she alone could not overturn.
