Deputy Chief of Staff Abu Jinapor has taken a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress, saying they are behaving like kids who have had their toys taken away from them.

According to him the party is yet to recover from their shocking defeat in the 2016 elections and settle into their new position of powerlessness, hence  their incessant criticism of every move the NPP government makes.

He was addressing supporters at a rally held after the NPP National Delegates Conference in the Central Regional Capital, Cape Coast.

The NDC minority in parliament have been unrelenting in their criticism of some moves by government, from the issuance of a 2.5billion cedi bond in April to attempts to lay the Special Prosecutors bill before the house. They have also been very skeptical about the success of the government's flagship Free Senior High School and One District One Factory policies.

The Deputy Chief of staff asked Ghanaians to ignore the unfounded criticisms and rally behind the president as he initiates policies he promised to roll out.

He called on the delegates and supporters of the NPP to retain confidence that Nana Akufo-Addo will deliver on his promises, unlike the previous NDC government which kept repeating the same promises after eight years in power.

Leading members of the party took turns to address supporters at the Victory Park, assuring of their resolve to fix the economy to improve on the living conditions of Ghanaians.
