Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo started his five-day tour campaign tour of the Volta Region with visits to the South Dayi, Afadjato South, North Dayi, Kpando and Biakoye constituencies.
Described as "World Bank" of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), it has traditionally been a waterloo for the NPP whose highest ever percentage of votes amassed in the region was Nana Addo's 15.38 percent he got in the first round of the 2008 elections.
This notwithstanding, the NPP says considering the "massive" reception they have received they were very optimistic of raising their votes percentage come December 7.
