The Black Stars were held to a goalless draw in their friendly match against Namibia ahead of AFCON 2023.

In the game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, Namibia had a brighter start to the contest as the Black Stars struggled to take control.

After a poor showing in the first half, the two teams went into the break on level pegging.

The Black Stars upped the tempo of the game in the second half but struggled to breach the resolute defence of their opponents.

With both sides failing to find the back of the net after 90 minutes the referee brought proceedings to an end.

Both teams used the friendly to draw up a plan for AFCON 2023 which kicks off in Abidjan on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

Ghana are placed in Group B alongside Cape Verde, Egypt and Mozambique while Namibia have a date with Tunisia, South Africa and Mali in Group E
