Zambia Women National team forward Mary Mwakapila believes Zambia have what it takes to beat defending champions Nigeria in Wednesdays 2018 Ghana Women AFCON, Group B encounter.

Mwakapila reiterated her teams objective of qualifying to the 2019 Women World Cup which will be held in France.

"We are going to do our level best and work as a team to make sure that we beat Nigeria and South Africa and qualify to the final and book a place at the world Cup," she said.

"As far as concerned beating Equatorial Guinea is not the ultimate aim we came here for, Our aim is the World Cup," she added.

The Green Buffaloes player said the game against Equatorial Guinea gave her and her team mates morale to push for their aim of qualifying to the World Cup.

"The game against Equatorial Guinea gave us morale and we looking forward to reach our aim at this tournament. Our aim coming into this tournament was to qualify for the World Cup and winning the Cup," she said.

Zambia and Nigeria will go head to head on Wednesday at 17:30 with a win set to guarantee the copper queens a place in the semi-finals.
