Injured Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey has sent a get-well-soon message to a fan who got injured playing football and has been ruled out for five months.

Bryan Dooher broke his ankle after a rough tackle last week, has undergone surgery and was told his injury was similar to what Amartey picked up in October last year.

But he has shown his class by offering a few words of encouragement to Foxes supporter and Twitter user @BryanDooher.

Bryan took to social media last weekend to explain that he got injured playing football and tagged Amartey in the tweet.

"Recognising the Leicester shirt I was wearing, the Doctor came in and said 'Do you know Daniel Amartey? In short, your injury is as bad as his.' The supporter, who goes by the Twitter username @BryanDooher, sent a three-part message to Amartey last weekend

"Unfortunately I won’t be playing football for at least 5 months, and I am completely heartbroken, so I understand how difficult it would have been for you.

"Thankfully I am young, only 16, so I am hoping this does not effect my chances of making it professional.

Amartey saw the tweet and tweeted a reply this morning, saying the pair should battle through their injuries together. Amartey sent a message to injured Bryan this morning and said they must "keep fighting"

He wrote: "Bryan, Sorry to hear that a little fun with your friends ended like this.

"It only makes you stronger and you’ll be back at your best in no time. Let’s keep fighting."

Amartey has been out of action since the injury almost five months ago and is not expected to be back before the end of the season.

He was taken to A&E immediately after Hammers draw and had successful surgery.Image result for DANIEL AMARTEYIt was not until he woke up that he learned about the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of five people, including Leicester's chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

He was unable to pay his respects alongside his team-mates on the Monday following the disaster but attended on crutches after being discharged from hospital.

Amartey's injury has seen Danny Simpson involved with the first team again but summer signing Ricardo Pereira remained the first-choice right-back for Claude Puel and now Brendan Rodgers.
