Ghana Football Association presidential hopeful Fred Pappoe has revealed that he will roll out a mandatory insurance scheme for Ghanaian players when given the nod to lead Ghana football.
According to the GFA presidential aspirant, one of the policies he will be bringing on board is to insure all Ghanaian professional players.
Speaking to Angel FM, the Accra Great Olympics Board member averred that the welfare of the key actors of the game is at his heart and will do the necessary things to safegaurd their future.
"There is one very important thing i will do for players, the welfare of players after their playing career what happens to them? he quizzed
"There will be a mandatory insurance scheme for every local player playing in Ghana."
He added, that coaches and referees will not be left out as they are all key stakeholders of the game.
Noting that as the insurance takes care of the playing during their playing career, the pension scheme takes over after the end if their career.

The former Executive Committee member of the GFA says he will create a council of elders where their job will be to play an advisory role to improve the game.
According to him, the council will consist of former presidents and vice of the GFA as members as well as other eminent personalities like Nana Sam Brew-Butler, Nii Ayibonte, Togbe Afede, Nana Agyemang Badu, Justice Gbadegbe among others.
Meanwhile, the vetting results is expected to be released today October 4 by the GFA Normalisation Committee.
Fred Pappoe is battling it out with personalities such as George Afriyie, Osei Kweku Palmer, Amanda Clinton, Nana Yaw Amponsah, George Ankomah Mensah to replace Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The GFA presidential election is slated for October 25.
