Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, George Amoako says he was not surprised with regards to the resignation of Paa Kwesi Fabin as the head coach of the club.
Paa Kwesi Fabin resigned from his position as the head coach of Asante Kotoko on Thursday, 13, September 2018.
However, Fabin was seen in a leaked video negotiating with an unknown South African club ahead of a move.
However, the Kotoko CEO revealed he watched the video and was not surprised by the departure of Fabin.
"We knew he had been flirting about a move out after our friendly with Simba FC in Tanzania. So for us is not surprising at all. Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian just want to go for some huge money elsewhere and that is why he has resigned."
"I never wanted to confront coach Fabin after getting to see the video in which he was seen negotiating for a contract in South Africa and I did that because I wanted the stability in the club to continue," George Amoako told Nhyira Sports.
The CEO concluded by stating that the Kumasi-based club will not appoint a foreign coach as he believes there are good coaches in the country.
