Kotoko's Adako Jachie project to be completed next month - Nana Yaw Amponsah

Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed that the first phase of Asante Kotoko's Adako Jachie training complex will be completed in 3 weeks' time.

Nana Yaw Amponsah who has had his 5-year ban overturned by the Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to continue his job as the Chief Executive Officer [CEO] of Asante Kotoko made this known in an interview with Asempa FM.

The Porcupines' Adako Jachie training complex is almost ready to host the club's playing board for their next season's campaign.

Adako Jachie training complex project which commenced in October 2020 under Nana Yaw Amponsah's administration will also be used for temporal administrative purposes to aid a proposed facelift of the club's secretariat located at Odeneho Kwadaso in Kumasi.

The project when concluded will have a 30-bed dormitory, a technical block, executive office, dressing rooms, medical block, secretariat, players block and a gym.

Amponsah in the same interview subscribed to the assertion that Kotoko would have been winners of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League if they had played their home games at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Kumasi-Based club were forced to find an alternative home after the Baba Yara Stadium was closed for renovation works.

Kotoko played all their home games of the first round at the Accra Sports Stadium, before switching to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in the second round.

According to the Kotoko CEO, the change of venues affected the performance of the team.

Kotoko will now switch focus to the MTN FA CUP and they have been drawn against Berekum Chelsea in the quarter-final of the competition, where they are the defending champions.
