Wa All Stars have emerged winners of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League after beating title contenders Aduana Stars 2-1 at the Wa Park in their Week 29 fixture.

All Stars have recorded 51 points to win the title with a game to spare as they have a head-to-head advantage over second-placed Aduana Stars with 48 points.

The game was almost marred following a late penalty awarded to All Stars as the game was ending one all.

Aduana almost walked off the pitch in protest but settled later for the historic penalty to be converted by Saddick Alhassan.

In other games, Hearts were defeated 1-0 by Medeama, Kumasi Asante Kotoko lost 5-3 to AshantiGold, Ebusua Dwarfs 5-1 New Edubiase and Inter Allies 1-0 Liberty Professionals.

Elsewhere, Techiman City beat Sekondi Hasaacas 2-1, WAFA 1-0 Berekum Chelsea while Bechem United and Dreams FC played a one all drawn game.

The league ends on Sunday where the champions will be officially crowned and the relegated teams would be shown the exit.
