The Confederations of African Football (CAF) has tasked Egyptian referees with the duty of overseeing the CAF Confederations Cup Group C tie between Nkana FC and Asante Kotoko slated for Sunday, February 24.
Referee Ahmed El Ghandour from Egypt will be the centre referee, Ahmed Hassam Eldin Hany Abdelfattah, and Mahmoud El Shandidy as first and second assistants respectively while Mohammed Maaroup Eid Mansour will be the fourth official.
South African Simphiwe Brain Xaba has also been selected as the match commissioner.
This is the second time an Egyptian referee has been appointed for a Group C match in the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Referee Ahmed El Ghandour has handled 7 matches in the Egyptian Premier League issuing 7 yellow cards and a red card.
Kotoko will travel to Zambian to face Nkana FC with the hope of securing their second win in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.Â
